Keyboard shortcuts
FreeWeb only
Updated · September 2026
This page lists every keyboard shortcut in the Mento web app. You don't have to leave the app to see it, either — press ? anywhere in Mento and the same list opens in a panel. This page and that panel are generated from the same source, so they always match.
Note: Keys are shown as they appear on a Mac. On Windows and Linux, use Ctrl in place of ⌘, Alt in place of ⌥, and Shift in place of ⇧.

Common questions
Why isn't ⌘C, ⌘Z, or ⌘B listed? Deliberately. Standard shortcuts — copy, undo, bold, and the rest of what your OS and browser already do — all work as you'd expect, so listing them would just bury the ones worth learning. This list only carries shortcuts that are specific to Mento or hard to discover on your own.
Is that everything you can type in the notes editor?
The Typing in notes group above lists the triggers worth memorizing, but the editor's / menu is the full catalog — every block it can insert, each shown next to its typed trigger. Writing notes walks through them in context.
Can I customize the shortcuts? Not currently — the bindings are fixed.
Do these work on the mobile apps? This list is for the web app. The mobile apps are designed for touch.
